Controlled Tightening for Workshop and Maintenance Applications

The HAZET 5121-3CT is an adjustable torque wrench for controlled tightening within a range of 20–120 N·m. It is suitable for automotive, commercial vehicle and industrial maintenance tasks where the specified tightening torque falls within this range. Select the torque setting according to the connection manufacturer’s instructions.

The 1/2″ square drive accepts sockets with the same drive size. The reversible ratchet has 32 teeth and a ratchet opening angle of 11.25°.

Torque accuracy during clockwise tightening is ±3% of the set torque value. The scale graduation is 1 N·m. These are separate specifications: the scale graduation indicates the increments shown on the scale.

The actuating force indicates the minimum and maximum force required at the handle to reach the torque values within the specified range. HAZET specifies 6.1–38.0 kg for the 5121-3CT. This is not the weight of the tool; its net weight is 1.15 kg.

The torque is adjusted by turning the handle. The locking mechanism secures the selected setting. The laser-marked scale makes the torque value easy to read.

An audible and tactile signal indicates when the set torque is reached. Stop tightening when this signal occurs. A reversible ratchet does not mean that the specified torque accuracy applies to anticlockwise tightening.

Manufactured in Germany, the wrench is supplied with a serial number and a HAZET factory calibration certificate in a sturdy Hexa plastic box. Technical support, spare parts and calibration services in Türkiye are provided by Surkon.

HAZET 5121-3CT – Frequently Asked Questions

What is the HAZET 5121-3CT used for?

It is used to tighten connections to a specified torque within a range of 20–120 N·m. Its 1/2″ square drive accepts matching sockets for suitable automotive, commercial vehicle and industrial maintenance tasks. Always follow the connection manufacturer’s specified tightening torque.

What is the difference between the 5121-3CT and the 5111-3CT?

Both models cover 20–120 N·m and have ±3% accuracy during clockwise tightening. The 5121-3CT has a 1/2″ square drive and is 421 mm long. The 5111-3CT has a 3/8″ square drive and is 375 mm long. Select the model according to the socket drive size and available working space.

What happens when the set torque is reached?

An audible and tactile signal occurs. Stop tightening when you receive this signal; do not continue applying force.

Does it also provide torque control during anticlockwise tightening?

The specified torque accuracy applies to clockwise tightening only. HAZET recommends torque wrenches with interchangeable insert heads for controlled anticlockwise tightening.

Which sockets are compatible?

It accepts sockets with a 1/2″ square drive. Select the socket size and profile to match the screw or nut head.

Do I need to reset the wrench to the minimum scale value after use?

No. HAZET states that the 5121-3CT does not need to be returned to the minimum scale value after use. Follow the manufacturer’s instructions for handling and storage.

Are calibration services and technical support available?

Yes. Surkon is the authorized distributor and technical support point for the HAZET brand in Turkiye. All repair, maintenance, and calibration services for HAZET devices are provided by Surkon. After repair and maintenance of HAZET torque wrenches, Surkon issues an in-house calibration certificate. Upon request, TÜRKAK accredited calibration services are offered at Surkon's calibration laboratory.
