Controlled Tightening at Low Torque

The HAZET 5107B-3CT is an adjustable torque wrench with a 1/4″ hex bit holder, designed for tightening screw connections to a specified torque within a range of 1–9 N·m. It is suitable for bicycle, motorcycle, automotive and industrial maintenance applications where the required tightening torque falls within this range.

The 1/4″ hex bit holder accepts suitable screwdriver bits directly. Select the bit profile and size to match the screw head. The reversible ratchet has 20 teeth and an operating angle of 18°.

Torque accuracy during clockwise tightening is ±4% of the set torque value. The scale graduation is 0.1 N·m. These values represent different technical specifications.

The manufacturer-specified actuation force ranges from 0.6 to 5.5 kg. This value does not represent the weight of the tool; it indicates the minimum and maximum force required on the handle to reach the target torque values.

The torque is adjusted by turning the handle. The locking mechanism secures the selected setting. The laser-marked scale makes the torque value easy to read.

An audible and tactile signal indicates when the set torque is reached. Stop tightening when this signal occurs. A reversible ratchet does not mean that the specified torque accuracy applies to anticlockwise tightening.

The torque values for aluminum, carbon, plastic components, and bodywork fasteners must always be obtained from the respective manufacturer's instructions.

Manufactured in Germany, the wrench is supplied with a serial number and a HAZET factory calibration certificate in a sturdy Hexa plastic box. Technical support, spare parts and calibration services in Türkiye are provided by Surkon.

HAZET 5107B-3CT – Frequently Asked Questions

What is the HAZET 5107B-3CT used for?

Used for tightening screw connections with torques ranging from 1–9 N·m to a specified level. The 1/4″ internal hexagonal bit holder allows for direct insertion of suitable bits. The torque value should be determined according to the manufacturer's instructions for the connection.

What are the differences between the 5107B-3CT and other models?

The 5107B-3CT operates with an accuracy of ±4% in the 1–9 N·m range; the 5108B-3CT operates with an accuracy of ±3% in the 2.5–25 N·m range. Both models feature a 1/4″ internal hexagonal bit holder, a 20-tooth ratchet, an 18° working angle, and a length of 234 mm. Select the model that covers your required torque value.

What happens when the set torque is reached?

An audible and tactile signal occurs. Stop tightening when you receive this signal; do not continue applying force.

Does it also provide torque control during anticlockwise tightening?

The specified torque accuracy applies to clockwise tightening only. HAZET recommends torque wrenches with interchangeable insert heads for controlled anticlockwise tightening.

Which bits are compatible?

Used with bits featuring a 1/4″ hex shank that matches the fastener head profile and size. It features an internal hex bit holder, not a square drive socket connection.

What is the scale graduation?

The scale value is 0.1 N·m. The divisions on the scale progress as 1 → 1.1 → 1.2 N·m. This value is not the same feature as the ±4% accuracy value.

Are calibration services and technical support available?

Yes. Surkon is an authorised HAZET dealer and technical support provider in Türkiye. Repair, maintenance and calibration services for HAZET equipment are provided by Surkon. An in-house calibration certificate is issued for HAZET torque wrenches following repair and maintenance. TÜRKAK-accredited calibration services are available on request at the Surkon calibration laboratory.

Scope of Delivery

Operating Instructions

  1. Identify the required torque from the connection manufacturer’s instructions.
  2. Unlock the torque adjustment mechanism, set the required torque using the scale, then lock the setting.
  3. Insert the appropriate 1/4″ hex shank bit for the screw head and select the clockwise tightening direction.
  4. Apply steady force at the handle. Stop tightening when the audible and tactile signal occurs.

For detailed operating instructions, refer to the HAZET operating instructions above.
